ABOUT OUR TOUR

The Northwest overnight Panorama route, you’ll  heads out of Dili scape to the mountain meet with local people and see their traditional house in the village up in the mountain then continuing with the coastline towards Maubara, an historic Dutch fort overlooking the ocean. You’ll visit and learn about Tasi Tolu (3 seas), Peace Park where East Timor declared its independence in 2002, the Pope John Paul II statue, Ai Pelo prison, the town of Liquica for lunch at Lauhata Scape Beach before continue travel to Balibo via Batugade where Timor-Leste and Indonesian border was.

Day 1

  • Pick up from Hotel at 08:30 am, Tasi Tolu (3 salty lakes), Peace Park and Pope John Paul II’s statue, where the independent declared in May 2022
  • Travel in to the mountain visit and learn more about the coffee and its processing plant at Timor Global Coffee in Railaco

  • Heading down to Liquica passing new Timor Port

  • The Portuguese ruins of Ai Pelo and its history

  • Lauhata Beach Scape for Lunch

  • Explore Portuguese former small town of and the church massacre in 1999

  • Maubara Salt lake  and its  stunning view

  • Maubara Dutch fort and its history

  • Continue travel to Balibo and visit Timor and Indonesian border

  • Arrived Balibo intime for sunset drinks and predinner

  • Balibo resistance museum in the fort

Day 2.

  • Balibo resistance museum in the fort

  • Morning Balibo walking tours: Visit Balibo flag house (Balibo 5 history)

  • Travel to visit waterfall in Leohito village

  • Return to the fort for lunch

  • Browse and buy traditional Timor crafts and women woven baskets, jewellery at the nearby market.

  • Return to Dili at 18:00pm
