Aileu & Maubisse COFFEE MOUNTAIN DAY TOUR

ABOUT OUR TOUR

Our full day Maubisse Mountain Tour heads up and out to rural Timor-Leste. It takes you through the rice paddies, gardens and up into the mountains with lunch in Aileu at Projecto Montanha – working to serve the Timorese families with love, seeking their integral development – before continuing onto Maubisse to view the traditional houses, the Pousada, a unique landscape of Fleixa valley and so much more.

MAUBISSE MOUNTAIN AND COFFEE DAY TOUR ITINERARY

  • Pick up from hotel at 08:30AM
  • Head out of Dili up into the mountains visit WWII memorial up in Dare hill.
  • Continue travel toward Aileu via Laulara and Remexio
  • Seloi village with the rice paddies and the lake
  • 1975 memorial of independence movement at Aissirimou village in Aileu
  • Short trek to visit coffee plantation, vanilla demonstration plant and have taste of vanilla coffee and lunch at Dili Vanilla in Aileu (additional cost of visit)
  • Visit Aileu town, 1942 memorial and the market place
  • Explore the Maubisse market place, Pousada and town
  • Enjoy cooler temperature and its beautiful landscape of Fleixa valley and hill
  • Walk to the Lekitei sacred house and waterfall
  • Return to Aileu for coffee break at Projecto Montanha (at own cost)
  • Depart Aileu for Dili via Comoro river road
  • Arrived back in Dili at approx. 17:30PM

  • $15 for local guide to walk to sacred house (10 minutes) and waterfall (30+ minutes) 
  • $10 entrance to sacred house 
  • Entrance to Pousada
